Another week down here on the Discourse! My W this week is finishing the certificate creation system. This has been a dream of mine for a long time, and I’m pretty happy to have a certification system that I fully control.
This week, I got the chance to see “Project: Hail Mary.” It was incredible, just like the book. I’m grateful for storytellers who can inspire the best of humanity. There remains light in us, even in these dark times.

My Gratitude this week is that I got to play some games with some friends I don’t talk to too often and had a blast.
Good idea. It’s a rare situation in which both the book and movie are excellent, and actually complement each other.
I really enjoyed the movie version of Cannery Row with Nick Nolte and Debra Winger, but I couldn’t talk a friend into it because he didn’t want to “spoil the book” which he held in very high regard.
It’s been quite a while ago, but I recall the movie One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest added favorably to the book; though I agree that it’s rare to improve much upon the reader’s visual imaging imagination.
Having seen Twin Peaks, I doubt I’d even start the book if there is/was one.
